August Product Updates: Call Center AI
August brought more improvements across Krisp Call Center AI, with expanded language coverage, easier Accent Conversion setup, smarter QA, and more control for admins. Here’s what’s new this month.
Voice Translation: More languages, more control
Krisp Voice Translation added Valencian and introduced Cantonese in beta this month, helping contact centers serve more customers in their language. Cantonese beta access is available through your Krisp Customer Success Manager.
Alongside broader language coverage, improvements to Spanish and Japanese make important details more reliable. Admins can also set translation playback speed and original speech volume for each team, helping translated conversations sound clear and natural.
Accent Conversion: Ready from day one
Admins no longer need to select a source accent when enabling Accent Conversion for a new team. The Universal model now applies by default, converting any agent accent to US English and making setup faster.
The Indian Accent Conversion model has also been updated for more natural speech. Together, these improvements make Accent Conversion easier to deploy while helping agents sound more natural on calls.
Speech Analytics: QA that shows its work
A sales call and a cancellation call shouldn’t be judged by the same criteria. Speech Analytics now identifies the call type and applies the right QA scorecards, including multiple scorecards when needed, so each conversation is evaluated in context.
Reviewers also can then jump from a score justification to the exact moment in the transcript and recording, making scores easier to verify and coaching more specific and actionable.
Admin controls: More control, faster action, easier reviews
Admins can now meet contractual and privacy requirements without turning off call recording for an entire team. Conditional Call Recording lets them exclude calls based on CCaaS skill or client information, giving them more precise control over what is retained.
When something requires attention, the Notification Center gives Admins and Analysts one place to see security, compliance, and operational alerts, with direct links to the relevant call or setting for faster action.
For ongoing compliance and security monitoring, audit logs are available through the Krisp Portal API, with the same details and filters available in the dashboard. This lets teams review Krisp activity within the tools they already use.
