In this release, Krisp takes a major leap forward in voice clarity with African Accent Conversion v3.9, delivering our most advanced accent experience yet. Paired with new Voice Translation enhancements, Krisp Widget improvements, and smarter guidance for Agent Assist, this update empowers agents to communicate more confidently and effortlessly across every call.

Feature updates and key enhancements

  • African Accent Conversion v3.9: We’ve upgraded our African English Accent Conversion model to version 3.9. Agents using the African accent pack will experience enhanced clarity and fluency during calls, helping them communicate more effectively while preserving their unique speaking style.

  • Accent Conversion now sounds even better: We’ve upgraded the underlying voice model powering Accent Conversion, resulting in noticeable improvements across all accent packs. Agents will experience more natural-sounding speech, making every interaction clearer and more authentic.

  • Spell any selected phrase in Voice Translation: Agents can now spell out selected parts of the customer’s translated speech for better clarity. Spelled text appears in a separate bubble, ensuring a smooth and professional flow.

  • Heads-up before Voice Translation stops: Agents will now see a clear notification 10 seconds before Voice Translation turns off in Krisp Widget— ensuring they’re never caught off guard during a call. A “Keep” button lets them instantly extend it.

  • Expanded Krisp Widget now fits the agent’s screen: When expanded, the Krisp Widget now automatically adjusts its position to fit the agent’s screen, ensuring all actions are visible, even when the Widget starts centered.

  • Agent Assist now launches only when Krisp Speaker is selected: To ensure Summary accuracy and avoid silent failures, Agent Assist will start only when Krisp Speaker is selected. Agents are notified in the Krisp Widget and in the Krisp app to change their setup.

  • Smarter privacy control for Call Summaries in Agent Assist: Call Summaries now display full, unmasked data to agents, while securely masking personal or sensitive information before it's sent to the AI for summarization. This ensures summaries remain accurate while keeping customer data private.

  • Skip very short calls in Agent Assist: Calls shorter than 30 seconds are no longer automatically opened in the expanded Widget. This prevents distractions from brief, low-value calls, helping agents stay focused on conversations that matter.

Bug fixes

  • Test Voice Translation recording starts at the right time: Krisp now ensures that the Voice Translation test recording only captures audio after the feature is fully active, so no extra seconds are recorded before the test starts.
