Krisp 3.1.6 - AI Meeting Assistant improvements
This release makes Krisp easier to install, more flexible to control, and more reliable during your meetings. With a faster installer, deep links that open directly in the app, and smarter handling of edge cases, your setup and experience will run more smoothly from start to finish.
Improvements
New Krisp Downloader for faster, simpler installs: We’ve introduced a lightweight Krisp Downloader for Mac and Windows. It installs the app faster and more reliably by auto-selecting the right version based on your system and silently installing it in the background. You’ll see a progress view with a quick feature preview—no delays, no confusion.
Krisp links now open directly in the desktop app: Meeting notes, transcripts, agendas, and action items now open directly in the Krisp desktop app—so you can jump straight into your content without detours. If the app isn’t installed, you’ll be redirected to download Krisp instead.
You can manage this behavior anytime from your web account preferences.
Now we have a Mac top menu: We’ve added a native top menu on macOS to match other desktop apps. From uploading files and checking for updates to testing Noise Cancellation and opening Help resources—you’ll now find what you need, faster.
Prevent unwanted transcriptions by excluding them from AI Note Taker: Some meetings shouldn’t be captured, and now you can make sure of that. Add apps to the “Do not transcribe” list in Settings to prevent Krisp from starting transcription for them. It applies immediately and works regardless of the app using Krisp microphone and speaker.
Better support for multiple audio streams: When two apps are using microphone and speaker at the same time, Krisp now alerts you and lets you choose which one to record. You’re in control of what gets captured, and nothing gets lost or duplicated.
Customizing recording modes for your team: As an admin, you can now manage which recording modes are visible to your team—Transcript only, Audio + Transcript, Screen recording, or Bot. These controls only affect what’s shown in the app, helping you streamline the join experience without changing feature access. Available on Pro and above.
Bug fixes
Smoother call transitions: Resolved an issue that occasionally caused a brief freeze when starting or ending a call, ensuring a more seamless experience.
File uploads now support uppercase extensions: You can now successfully upload valid file types like
.JPG
,.PNG
, and.WAV
when reporting a problem—no more rejection errors due to uppercase letters.Google Meet titles now include Meeting ID for instant meetings: When starting a Google Meet without a calendar invite, the meeting title now correctly includes the Meeting ID—ensuring better context in your call records and summaries.
Fixed UI issues after zooming in/out on desktop web: Krisp’s main interface now remains fully functional and properly formatted, even after zooming in or out using browser controls or keyboard shortcuts.
Timeline and Talk Time pop-up behavior fixed: The pop-up will now respect your interaction and no longer appear in every meeting once dismissed.
Reliable app reopening: You can now close the main app window with
Cmd+W
and reopen it from the tray icon without issues.Stability on app launch: Addressed a rare crash some users experienced when opening the app, improving reliability from the start.
Accent Conversion toggle now activates correctly after account upgrade: When switching from a personal email to a work email and receiving a Business Trial, the Accent Conversion toggle will now enable as expected—no more getting stuck in the disabled state after using up daily limits.
